Join Junipers Garden for an evening of great music and delicious wood-fired pizza at Music in the Garden, featuring Nola based band Blowgun.
Doors open at 6, show starts at 6:30. Sliding scale tickets $10-$20. Pre-Order Pizza $18 (Menu Below). Camping available.
Blowgun is a traditional music collective based out of New Orleans. Founded by fiddler Miriam Hacksaw and percussionist Rye Oommen, they are joined for the spring tour season by Marco Saah on the Arabic Riq. Drawing on musical influences from North and South America as well as Southern India and Palestine, Blowgun finds the connection between desperate musical traditions through the lens of liberation and resistance to white supremacy and imperialism. They released the song “Hornet Trap” on Henchmen Records Volume I (available at henchmenrecordsmusic.bandcamp.com) as well as the live EP “Miriam Hacksaw and Rye Demo” from their podcast episode on Get Up In The Cool with Cameron…
