About the event

Join the DC Mutual Aid Apothecary in partnership with Junipers Garden and Dreaming Out Loud for DCMA's annual Fire Cider Workshop on November 15th at Marion Barry Avenue Market in SE, DC.
This hands on class brings community members together to learn how to make Fire Cider, a wonderful winter remedy that can help support your immune system during the colder months of the year. You’ll leave this workshop with your own jar of Fire Cider and new knowledge and connections. The class will also feature a guided plant walk through the neighborhood, where you will learn how to identify plants common in our region.
This year’s Fire Cider workshop is also a fundraiser for Seeds of Solidarity, a funding drive for Palestinian and Sudanese farmers. We are offering tickets on a sliding scale from $15 to $150. All proceeds will go to organizations who are supporting farmers/agriculture in Suda…
